West 40 Social is a new destination for dining, celebrations, and community connection coming to Downtown London, Ohio in late summer 2025. This unique venue combines the culinary expertise of Jesse and Jeremy Fields, founders of the beloved Mad Cow Bar & Grill, with a versatile event space designed for everything from casual weeknight dinners to grand wedding celebrations. The restaurant will offer a casual yet elevated menu featuring signature cocktails and an atmosphere that perfectly balances rustic charm with modern touches. Beyond exceptional dining, West 40 Social features a dedicated live music stage for local and regional acts, a children's climbing park that makes the space truly family-centric, and a beautifully designed wedding venue ideal for ceremonies and receptions. The venue also includes food truck parking to complement the restaurant offerings and an on-site AirBnb for wedding guests or business travelers. Located at 36-42 W. First Street, West 40 Social represents Westwood Collective's vision of creating spaces that enhance local culture and bring people together, with plans to host a Saturday farmers market starting in 2026.

The Westwood Collective proudly transformed one of Plain City's most historically significant landmarks into a thriving culinary destination. The 1902 Clocktower Building, which served as Howland Hardware until 1944, required a comprehensive restoration that honored its rich heritage while creating a modern, multi-use space for the community.Our team meticulously renovated the entire 10,280-square-foot structure, preserving original hardwood floors throughout and creatively integrating historic casework from the former hardware store's "nuts and bolts" section as the stunning backdrop for the restaurant's bar. The main level transformation includes a 4,200-square-foot dining room and kitchen that seamlessly blends the building's industrial heritage with contemporary restaurant functionality.The second floor houses a sophisticated 3,800-square-foot private event venue, complete with dedicated restrooms, full bar, and prep kitchen, making it ideal for weddings, corporate functions, and curated culinary experiences. Outside, we designed and constructed a charming biergarten that extends the dining experience into Plain City's historic streetscape, complete with string lighting and comfortable outdoor seating.Now open and thriving, The Clocktower Kitchen + Bar represents the perfect collaboration between historic preservation and modern hospitality. Founded by seasoned professionals Benjamyn Greig, Shane Whitacre, and Chelsea Whitacre, the chef-driven American restaurant showcases seasonal ingredients sourced from Ohio's local farms, offering both casual dining and elevated culinary experiences. The restaurant's thoughtfully curated beverage program and warm, personalized service create an atmosphere where Plain City residents and visitors alike can celebrate life's moments in a truly unique setting.This project exemplifies our commitment to preserving Ohio's architectural heritage while creating spaces that serve today's communities, transforming a beloved historic landmark into a cornerstone of Plain City's revitalized downtown district.‍

The Westwood Collective helped to transform a residence to a commercial restaurant in Old Hilliard.
